- Wiesbaden: Applications take between 19 and 23 months.

- Increased Eligibility of Syrian Nationals: Many Syrians who arrived in Germany during the 2015 migration wave have recently become eligible for citizenship.
- New Citizenship Law: The Naturalisation Law, implemented on June 27, 2024, allows non-EU citizens to obtain dual citizenship after just five years of residency in Germany, leading to a surge in applications.
